order Here is an antique folk art Adirondack wood picture frame. This most likely had an old chromolithograph print in it originally but someone has removed that and added a vintage embroidery of Mary had a little Lamb inside. Many people like to use these old frames for their antique or new samplers. The front molding has round beaded wood with raised wood and the rosettes o the four corners area all wood. The frame is nice and sturdy still. It measures 17 x 19 3/4 i. in total size and the back insert fits a 11 x 14 piece of art or print. Some people also make these into mirrors. The frame itself is in very good condition as well as the embroidery. The frame dates to the 1890-1910s and the embroidery to the 1940s probably. The material is nailed into the sides of the frame.
