order Lotus Calm is an original painting by Wendy Glos. It is semi-abstract and colourful, painted on birch wood panel. It aims to create serenity through the focal point of a lotus floating in a pond, with various geometric shapes surrounding it. It does not require framing and has painted black sides on a deep 1-5/8" mount. Acrylic inks were dropped onto bare wood where they intermingled and absorbed into the wood like stain, making for interesting woodgrain effect. Collage geometrics were added and then further circular shapes were incorporated using acrylic paint. Finer details were added using acrylic pen. This style of art works with how the inks and paint want to interact with the wooden substrate. This is a wabi sabi aesthetic which embraces what happens naturally. The painting is titled, signed and dated on the back. It does not require framing and has painted black sides on a deep 1-5/8" mount. There is hanging wire on the back attached to D-rings as well as cushion pads on the lower corners. Ready to hang.
