Kyoohoo Japanese Kokeshi Doll Doshin (k12-3834)

This kokseshi is "Doushin (s)" which is made by Masae Fujikaw who won Price Minister Award in Japan. The doll teach us what we don't forget pure heart forever. We feel it has strong heart and kindness. The light pink and light purple kimono which is drawn white and red plum is attracted us more and more.

Kokeshi Dolls are major dolls in Japan which are made from wood.
Their origin was in Edo era (1603A.D. - 1867A.D.) as souvenirs for the injured order at hotsprings.
Since then kokeshi craftn's skills to make grains and paint was so developed that kokeshis became ornamental dolls.
