This is a extremely rare and beautiful piece! Artistry done by the famous Larry Vrba. Who in 1970's designed a Pre Columbian (Mayan, Aztec, Native American) collection of brooches and pendants for Castleclif. This order is a versatile brooch/pendant combination. This silver brooch/pendant is a quetzal bird medicine man, with a full feather headdress in deep shades of blue, green, red and brown. His sacred dress repeats the feather design on the lower part of his ritural attire. There is a strong three dimensional aspect to the piece, with the beak/head protruding 1/2" from the rest of the figural piece. This is definitely a statement, conversation piece for sure! Worn as a pendant or as a beautiful brooch. I am including a long silver chain so you may wear it in both designs. As always all the jewelry in my collections have been professionally cleaned.
