The Histories of Herodotus of Halicarnassus, the Heritage Press, the Heritage Club edition, 1958. This book order, originally written in 450 B.C. in classical Greek, 'serves as a record of the ancient traditions, politics, geography and clashes of various cultures that were known in Greece, Western Asia and Northern Africa at that time.

The book retains its almost new gloss despite the age. It is only the second volume. Great because you d likely collect the first volume as well in due time.
