Vintage custom made Roger Vivier black suede order pumps-size 8AAA-laceup

These are a pair of original, vintage Roger Vivier low-heeled pumps in black suede leather with cloth laces. they appear to be custom fabricated, as the size and model numbers were written on the inside of the shoe by hand. They are in good vintage condition; the soles show some wear, but they are not order at all worn out. These shoes are incredibly elegant, with a lovely low heel about 2" high.

Vivier has been called the "Fragonard of the shoe" and his shoes "the Fabergé of Footwear" by numbers of critics. He designed extravagant, richly decorated shoes that he described as sculptures. He is credited with the design of the first stiletto heel in 1954.
