1883 Inscribed Silver, Rose Gold Floral Brooch, Commemorative or Memorial Jewelry, order 8g

Here's a sweet Victorian silver brooch with rose and yellow gold flower, leaf and dot details. The brooch has a scalloped edge and a recessed oval at the back that bears an the inscription '23 Februar 1883'. (The 'y' has been omitted.) The brooch may be a memorial piece, or perhaps it commemorates a happier date, such as a marriage or birth of a child since there are 3 flower blossoms in the vignette.

The brooch measures 7/8" high and 1 order 1/2" wide, and is finished with a t-bar hinge and c-clasp closure. The piece is unsigned, but appears to be sterling or high grade silver. The piece weighs 8 grams.
