Mexican Red order Knee Tarantula

This Mexican Red Knee Spider model is a spectacular handmade ornamental art piece. It may be displayed on a window flyscreen, on a flowerpot or in a garden. The piece used black sapphires for the head & abdomen with 'pearl eyes' for the eyes and Sapphire is the Birthstone for September.

These spiders are one of the prettiest of the Tarantula species and is a native of Mexico. Often kept as a pet and this one is 75mm long, 80mm wide & 15mm high. Insects are the main prey of these spiders and their diet could include small vertebrates as well.
