Aquamarine Crystal in order Albite

This is a pretty specimen of a single aquamarine crystal growing in the middle of white albite blades. At the bottom of the specimen, you can see the bottom of the aquamarine even though half of the crystal is buried in the albite.

The aquamarine is pale in color and the crystal itself has some frosting on the surface. It's a sweet specimen, and the albite is beautiful on its own.

From Gilgit, Pakistan. From the old Al McGuiness collection of fine minerals, including beryls. (Beryl is the family that aquamarine belong to. Other beryls are emerald, heliodor, goshenite and morganite.)

Aquamarine is a stone that works at the 5th chakra (at the throat,) the area that deals with communication. It order helps one speak their truth with confidence and grace. It is also a calming stone, decreasing stress just by holding it.
