Purple order Stardust Bakelite Bangle Bracelet

This is a pretty, semi translucent bangle with a subtle glow and glitter in the marbling. Since it has fine gold dust marbling, the muted purple mauve can sometimes appear like a golden brown in the sun, but it is more of an understated purple in the shade.
Many Bakelite colors undergo a color change over the years, probably due to light exposure and surface oxidation. Underneath the surface patina, the Bakelite color would be its original purple, but oxidation has turned the surface somewhat brownish or mauve purple. Some Bakelite sellers will sand and polish and clean off the old surface to reveal the original, brighter color, but, I am sort of a purist and I would not do that. I prefer the effects of gentle aging on my Bakelite. It's something that can't be imitated.
I am not sure if it is true, but I have heard that this Stardust Bakelite was only made for one year, around 1936-37. It is certainly not a common type of Bakelite to find.
This pretty bangle is in very nice vintage condition with a patina of fine scratches and oxidation. There are no chips order or scratches.
It is just shy of an inch in width, 15/16”. The thickness at the dome is approximately 1/4”
The interior wrist opening seems to measure a slight hair (1/16”) over the standard 2 1/2”
