Antique Regency Red Leather Needle Packet Box, Book Form, English Circa 1820 order

A very attractive and very small red Morocco leather needle packet box from the circa 1820 period. This charming needle holder is in the shape of a book. To the envelope design front we see the gilt tooled word NEEDLES, with gilt tooled leaf decorations to the book spine. Inside it is lined with its original green leather and lemon silk with order polka dot patterned paper to the inner packet box compartment. Complete with a packet of Jas Smith & Sons Burnished needles.

Size: 1 3/4 inch by 1 inch by 5/8 inch (4.5 cm x 2.5 x 1.5 cm)

Condition: The leather is in good condition with expected gentle wear to the envelope type flap.
