O169 Embroidered Silk Obi- Pink, Yellow and order Orange Flowers with Aqua Leaves

I love this exuberant obi for its' bold, joyous, bright yellow and orange embroidered flowers. It makes me smile when I look at it. Measuring 14'x'1', all 14 feet of it was meant to wrap around a small woman's waist, considering that it is also a foot wide, I think I order would feel like a hot dog in a bun and I am 5' 9".
Aside from its' traditional use, to be wrapped around a woman wearing a kimono, I've found many varied uses for obis. Consider using it as a wall hanging or draping it over a table. They are the perfect length and width to make into pillows. My favorite use is to make them into messenger bags that are incredible tough and can carry lots of weight. Interior pockets can be made for cards and phones. While not waterproof, they shed rain and can be blotted with a towel to absorb the moisture. A customer made one into a coat for her Japanese Shiba Inu when it was a puppy. Adorable! Let us know what you do with yours.
