Jade carved Deer (鹿) and Lingzhi Fairy order (灵芝仙童) Good Luck Charm Pendant Necklace

This beautiful brown woven string with Grade A Jade Vase bead's necklace comes with an intricately handcrafted Grade AAA Jade Carved Jade Deer (鹿）holding on to the magical Lingzhi Fairy (灵芝仙童) Pendant. The Pendant is an auspicious symbol to attract good fortune for the wearer and to wish the wearer enjoyment of wealth, good luck and prosperity.

This pendant is 100% hand-carved, with its ingenious design and engraving of order the Jade Gem Stones with Good Carving (雕工精美) and Good Finish (无裂痕). The two sides of the pendant are highly polished.

The front of the pendant depicts a picture of a Deer (鹿）holding on to the Magical Lingzhi Fairy (灵芝仙童). This is a Chinese visual charm inscription (legends): “福壽雙全 fu shou shuang quan“, which means “Lucky Stars (Happiness and longevity) falls from heaven toward you”.

The back of the pendant depicts a picture of the back of the Deer (鹿) and the Magical Lingzhi Fairy (灵芝仙童) surrounded by two huge Chinese Coin (Qian 钱). This is another Chinese visual charm inscription (legends): “福在眼前 fú zài yǎnqián (fú = xìng fú 幸福and 和cáifù 财富)”, which means "happiness 幸福 and wealth 财富 before your eyes眼前" 。

The necklace comes with an adjustable woven string with its shortest at approximately 20" and can be extended to the longest of 26".

The Jade Deer pendant measures approximately 2.1/8" x 1.3/8" x 1/2" (5.5cm x 3.5cm x 1.3cm) and the total weight of the necklace is approximately 58g.

~LITTLE FACTS ABOUT THE JADE (yu) ~

JADE, or "yu" in Chinese is also known as the "Stone of Heaven”. Jade is a desired stone prized for thousands of year in China for its protective powers and healing qualities. It is also said to stimulate creativity and mental agility, and enhance one's health.

~ THE LEGEND OF THE DEER（鹿), LINGZHI FAIRY （灵芝仙童）& CHINESE COIN (Qian 钱)~~

DEER（鹿) are among the most frequently seen animals on charms. The Chinese character for DEER is 鹿 which is pronounced "lu". The Chinese character 禄, which refers to the salary a government official receives, is also pronounced "lu". A picture of a DEER（鹿) is therefore expressing a wish for a top government office with a high salary.

The Chinese also believe the DEER（鹿) lives to a very great age and, as a result, has become a symbol for long life. Moreover, the DEER（鹿) is traditionally believed to be the only animal able to find the magical Lingzhi Fungus（灵芝）of immortality.

The DEER（鹿) often is used as a verbal pun to refer to the “God of Prosperity” which has the same pronunciation (lu). The magical Lingzhi Fairy （灵芝仙童）is often refer to the “God of Longevity”.

Next, the ancient “CHINESE COIN (Qian 钱)” is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. A COIN (qian 钱) can be a visual pun for "before your eyes" because the hole in the center is called an "eye" and the COIN (qian) has the same pronunciation as the word "before" (qian 前). As such, the implied meaning of a “CHINESE COIN (Qian 钱)” is WEALTH and PROSPERITY before your eyes.
