Order Earl Young Cottage

Earl Young designed many beautiful houses built from boulders along Lake Michigan in the early 1900's. The beautiful port town of Charlevoix in Michigan's northern lower peninsula is home to many of these “story book” houses. They have been nicknamed many things: mushroom houses, Hobbit Houses are just a few.
I did this pastel painting from a photo that I order took. This house is one of the small ones but I loved the light that day.
This is a giclee, 16x20” but available in other sizes. The original is also available and is matted and framed.
