Upon returning home, I immediately had it professionally framed. OFFSET LITHOGRAPHY PRINTED ON MEDIUM WEIGHT STOCK PAPER YEAR PRINTED 1993 SIZE: 31,5 x 23,5 INCHES PRINTED IN ENGLAND The framed print measures: 30” x 3/4” x 25” The frame is brass and is 3/4” wide. Cedric Morris moved to Paris in 1914. He was considered by some order to be the finest colourist' of the twentieth century. From the Gallery Label: “Before the Second World War, Morris was a well-known painter and breeder of irises, which he admired for their 'elegance, pride and delicacy'. In 1940 he moved to Benton End in Suffolk, where he cultivated a garden inspired by Claude Monet's at Giverny. He grew about 1,000 new iris seedlings every year. 1943, the year this work was painted, yielded a particularly beautiful.
