Vintage Frank Olive Private Collection wide brim straw hat with beaded bow design.

Frank Olive (1929 - 1995) was a popular milliner from the 1950's - 1990's. His hats were popular in fashion and costume design. This beautiful hat is from his Private Collection, considered one of a kind hats.

Natural woven straw with wide brim. Thin white grosgrain ribbon around the crown and white beads and netting in large bows as the design around the hat. Wired edge so can be shaped.

Simple and clean lines.

21” circumference (head)
17” - full hat diameter
5 1/2” - Brim (crown to edge)
3” depth crown

Condition is very good order for age, most likely 1970's from design.
One of the beaded bows has come loose at edge but in no danger of coming off. It does lie flat.
Interior grosgrain ribbon is cut away at netting but that would be original so it wouldn't show through netting.

A great formal hat for an event, wedding or party. Nice to display as a hat collectible.
