New to the UK, PLASTIC POLY-DOWELS 

Poly-Dowels™ are special designed plastic dowels for building stacked and tiered cakes. 

12 x Red Heart Poly-Dowels - Length 12", diameter order 3/16" approx Standard size for use in stacking of up to 3 tier small cakes. 

The beauty of the Poly-Dowels are that they allow the cake to pass through them instead of compressing the cake like conventional dowels.

Q: What is the material Poly-Dowels are made of? 

A: Poly-Dowels are made of Virgin Polypropylene resin 

The plastic that these are made from has been specially engineered for these to hold weight. The bubble tea straws are the same plastic as drinking straws but thicker. The Poly-Dowels as you see from the picture are not just thicker but have internal ridges for even more support. Other dowels may be prone to collapsing, specifically solid wooden or plastic dowels as there is no where for the cake to go. 

They have undergone some serious testing including for food safety and they passed everything easily. 

Easy to cut with scissors. Easy to see when disassembling cake. Sanitary Disposable Not chemically treated
