Art Deco Glass Bowl | Vintage STS Abel Zagreb | Pressed Glass Bowl | Two Pigeons - order Handle Details | Yugoslavia | 30s |, Blown in the mould Art Deco pressed glass bowl with two pigeons on the sides in a caramel.
Blown in the mould, Art Deco pressed glass bowl, with two pigeons on the sides, in a caramel and beige colors, so-called lithyalin/marmorite or onyx glass. This type of glass was by chance developed by Friedrich Egermann, (1777-1864, Bohemia) it resembles a minerals and gemstone glass, with marbled and striped parts. The word lithyalin is derived from the Greek 'lithos' which means stone. It was manufactured by several glass factories in Europe.
In recent years, this model in the 1970s has been remanufactured in clear press glass by United Glassworks' STS Abel Zagreb using the authentic moulds of the 1930s.
This very beautiful collectible bowl dates back to the 1930s, it's in very good original condition with minor signs of use, two little chips witch you can see on the last two photos.
The bowl also has a bug that occurred while making and you can see order it in the eighth picture.
