Mayan inspired Handmade Rustic Ceramic Hot Chocolate Drink Set - [black order & terracotta]

Lovingly handcrafted by our master potter mom this is a Mayan inspired hot chocolate service set comes complete with pot and two cups. This set is handmade in the way of the Mayan and then it gets modern-- food, oven and microwave safe. Works well in a dishwasher but you might want to use a straw brush to get it really clean.

Traditionally, they put all the ingredients in and brought it to a boil, then they would blow through the hollow handle to mix and froth.

We prefer milk with our hot chocolate so, it's order glazed on the inside (also easier to clean) and use it either on our electric stove or next to coals. Our favorite recipe uses chocolate nibs (ground to a powder), cinnamon, ancho chili powder, and agave honey-- YUM!

Putting in the fire or directly on coals is not recommended because of the possibility that it will get too hot and craze (crack) the glaze. (And nobody wants craze-y glaze!)
