This is our first planet within a planet; it's a prototype piece order. It's part of a series inspired by nature, environmentalism, and the beauty of the cosmos. Each of these sculptures is one-of-a-kind. The colorful glazes contain small fragments of glass that melt during kiln firing to create beautiful and unexpected effects. There may be slight variations in the shape of each dome; featuring of the surface; or blips or crazing in the glazes, which can be as temperamental as the weather. Each dome is perfectly imperfect. We're never quite sure what's going to come out of the kiln :)

This piece measures just over 9" in diameter. The outer dome is perforated so you can see the red "core" beneath. The artwork comes ready to display, with a natural hemp cord hanger. The inner core is tethered to the outer shell with the same cording; we are experimenting with hanging systems which will take both the aesthetics of each piece and the ease of hanging into consideration.
