WEST GERMAN POTTERY Floor Vase, Red and Brown Scheurich Vase with Fabiola order Glaze

A very striking West German Pottery floor vase by Scheurich, from the late 1960s or early 1970s.

The glaze on this West German Pottery vase is called 'FABIOLA'. It consists of dark brown shiny glaze combined with a flame-red stripe around the body of the vase.

Marked on the underside of this piece are its identifiers, '290 40' and 'W.Germany'.

The original purple `Scheurich` sticker remains on the side of the vase.

Between the 1950s and the 1980s, Scheurich was one of the largest producers of pottery in Germany.
