English Stately Home Country Garden Watercolour.

This is an intriguing original watercolour /gouache painting. It is known to be of a particular Stately Home in England but so far no research has thrown up which one in particular and this could be for a number of reasons? It is said it may be still in private hands and not open to the public or it may now be in a state of disrepair awaiting the finances to put right.

Research as to it's identification is ongoing but the painting was completed when the building and grounds were being well maintained as can be seen by how immaculate the garden and flowers appear.It is a punchy, vibrant painting which is tight in detail which appeals to many. It is on a Windsor and Newton watercolour board of that period.
