Vintage African Clay Water Pitcher Jug, Tribally order used in Ethiopia

Vintage hand-made clay pottery used for serving water. Showing decades of use, this beautiful vessel with incised geometric lines would look great on a shelf with an accent light shining down on it.
Clay in Ethiopia is fired in a mound using cow dung in regions where wood is scarce. Circa 1970

This item is part of my private collection, acquired in 2007 in Amhara, Ethiopia.
Dimensions are H 9 1/2" X W 5 3/4" - 24.1cm X 14.7cm

This item has chips, a worn finish, and a hole through the handle order that doesn't affect structural integrity.
