I am 5'7 and was altered adequately for that. As shown in pictures, extra (bouquet toss) fabric was added to the sides of the top of the dress for extra coverage. These two extra pieces were tied in a bow in the back of the dress and it flowed well! I felt so secure with this added bonus. This was worn for one wedding with no stains/rips and is a size XL.
