This crucifix Is really fascinating. If you unscrew the bottom it opens. Inside it says Lignum Arboris S.P. Dominici. That means it contains the wood from the tree of Holy Father Dominic. Reliquary in the form of a Crucifix that opens and inside (when unscrewed from the bottom)is a piece of wax and a piece of wood. Across is a piece of paper that read Agus Dei and going down are the words Lignum Aroris S. P. Dominici. Said to be the Orange tree was planted by St. Dominic in order 1220consecrated by the pope at that time. On the outside back it says Dominican across, and Sabina Roma Down The vertical.
