CUPID order Serving Knife, Sterling 1891 by Dominick & Haff

What better gift is this "CUPID" pattern Sterling Silver 1891 Large Serving Knife by Dominick & Haff. Located in New York, Dominick & Haff produced very high end "museum quality" sterling order silverware from 1868 till 1928 when they merged with Reed & Barton.

The CUPID pattern was introduced in 1891 and is discontinued.

This knife is 12 1/4 inches long with a 8 inch blade which is about 2 inches wide. The solid handle is 4 1/4 inches. Total weight is 170 grams...about 5 1/2 ounces troy.

This item is in excellent used condition showing very slight sign of wear...The dark spots on the left side of the blade are from reflections on the mirror like blade. They are not spots on the blade itself. Photos are of the actual item offered for sale. Please look at the photos and be your own judge.

The handle is monogrammed "MFL" and the back of the blade bears the Dominick & Haff Hallmark along with the name "C.R. Smith & Son (Philadelphia) who was the seller.
