I bought this book at the 1993 exhibition in Moscow. It is an interesting historical record of a building that never was. Ultimately, the building site along the Moscow River was deemed unsuitable to carry the weight of such a structure. An outdoor swimming pool ended up in its place. Today the Cathedral of Christ the Savior stands in this spot; it is an exact replica of the church that stood there before the demolition.
