Antique French order cake stand Choisy Le Roi ironstone blue and white with beautiful bird motifs shabby decor

A wonderful, rare, late 19th century ironstone cake stand or comport made by H Boulenger and company in Choisy Le Roi. All around the plate are delightful motifs of little birds. This is a lovely, shabby chic item. Please read the full description regarding the condition below.

In shabby chic condition for its very great age, it is tea-stained and timeworn, crazed and incredibly charming. There is a small chip along the foot which has been glazed over by the manufacturer (final photo). Best suited to a buyer who loves antique treasures with a story to tell.
