Two order Tea Cups, Vintage Cup and Saucers, Black White and Gold Landscape Scene, Geisha Lithopane

Two Vintage petite Japanese Kutani eggshell porcelain tea cups and saucers with an intricate hand painted landscape scene in order matte black, white, gold and green. Bands of patterned black and gold adorn the edges of the cups and saucers. When held to the light, the cup reveals a surprise. The image of a smiling geisha appears at the bottom of the tea cup! The delicate lithophane process uses varying thicknesses of porcelain clay to produce the stunning image.

These pieces are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. I believe it was used for display only. However, as with all vintage pieces there could be some scuffs or wear from being in the china cabinet. Please wash by hand and do not put in microwave.
