This unique natural rudraksha and gemstone mala is comprised of 108 (6mm) beads – primarily rudraksha with accent beads of amethyst and faceted howlite. The meru setting is two 4mm pyrite beads surrounding a 10mm carved dark wood bead. The mala is hand-knotted between each bead for longevity and ease of use on double-strung muted red-colored 100% cotton cord. The handcrafted tassel is created of the same cord the beads are strung with. This attractive mala features faceted brass spacers as design elements where the amethyst transitions to rudraksha (the brass spacers replace a knot and are not included in the 108-bead count). If you are looking for a more traditional rudraksha mala with a bohemian, original design, you will love this! Since it is mainly rudraksha, it is lighter in weight than the predominantly gemstone malas.

The length is approximately 18.75 inches (47.6 cm) from center to tip of tassel and the meru bead rests at or near the solar plexus when worn.

All Devi Malas are handcrafted by myself, Milwaukee designer Jackie Ratcliffe. Gemstone and rudraksha combinations are selected based on the design of the piece more than for the particular healing properties they hold. All Devi Malas are "Gayatri-infused" as I recite this Sanskrit mantra of purification during the mala's creation.
