Beautiful MADE IN MONTANA rich cream ceramic vase with lid, with hand-painted and etched rope design, wrapping all around. The lid sits on top, but does NOT latch.

LARGER SIZE than the size previously on sale here. This measures 9 1/2" including lid and measures 20 1/2" around the widest part.

These take hours to make. I start with poured ceramic green-ware vase, and etch the design on with a stylus. Then I paint about 2" long layers of under-glaze three times, so the color is solid. Then I cut the rope details into the under-glaze. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat! They take hours, but that is very often the nature of beautiful art.I do use food-safe glazes, but due to the variations in firing, these are NOT guaranteed food-safe.

These beautiful vases can be used for a wide variety of things. I personally use mine for holding kitty treats.

When I gave these for gifts, though, I was surprised and pleased to have a number of folks want to use them order for memorial urns for loved ones or beloved pets, instead of vases.
