Antique Cuff Box with 2 cuffs inside and a Silk like Lining in this Celluloid Hinged Box.
Unique tear Drop shape Victorian Cuff Box. Lining feels and looks like order silk but I'm not an expert. Lining is a deep gold color, very pretty.
Inside material has some spots and outside on top has some little missing paint (as shown in photo's) but just adds to the beautiful patina of this unique well maintained box.
Hinders work well and closes tight.
No major flaws. Everything is original.
Cuffs were worn and changeable because shirts were not changed everyday because laundry was not convenient as it is today.
Cuffs have Franklin 9 inside printed.
Measures 5 1/4” high, 5” at widest point and 6 1/4” deep.
Would make a great grooms gift or just sitting on your bureau.
Great condition for being over 100 years old.
