The bodice portion of this costume is NOT lined. If your fancy little one is planning on wearing a shirt or something underneath, that isn't a problem at all. If the crochet mesh and potential skin showing underneath is not preferred, this costume can be lined. MEASUREMENTS: Accurate measurements are very important. Please make sure that we know all that we can about your little one. If you order a size 2T costume for your six-year-old because the chest measurement is closer to what you were wanting, we will be creating a costume to fit a two-year-old, and it will not fit a six-year-old as well as it could. The torso lengths are created differently. If you need a size 6 costume but do not see the numbers you need, please communicate with us so that we can best help you order the correct size. We don't want you to be disappointed in the sizing. Please measure carefully the length you would like as well. If you order a 10" length and we ship it to you and then you decide 14" would be better, that is a problem for everyone. We do love creating this costume and would love to help create your cute fancy little one, but please measure instead of guess when ordering this costume. Thank you.

Measuring can be tricky. Hopefully, this information helps:

1. CHEST measurement is important for ensuring proper fit of the bodice, not too tight, not too loose. Please place order based on correct age/size/chest measurement (critical for adequate torso creation). If length needs adjusted, please note the adjustment in the notes accompanying the order.

2. The LENGTH is where it gets tricky. If you are wanting this about knee length, then the listed measurements are in that ball park. The LENGTH of this dress is usually around knee length. Please measure from the waist to the knee (or where you want the stop edge/lower hem of the skirt to be).

(LENGTH ADDITIONAL NOTE: Recognizing that torso lengths plays into the costume creation [and that each little one is created uniquiely] it is also helpful to have the measurement from her underarm (armpit) to the same stop location of the lower edge of where you'd like the skirt to be. This helps us create the torso length just right for her custom measurements. This can be indicated in the order notes, accompanying the costume purchase. We do estimate the torso length, given the child's size, but we are happy to tailor any detail for perfect fit for your little one.)

Since everything is made from scratch, we can customize each detail to fit her perfectly. And that's what we try very hard to do. Each measurement you can provide us helps us to do that better.
