A double matted offset vintage lithograph print of artist George Wright's “A Gallop on the Boards”. Restrike etching, hand-coloured original print. This colorful piece depicts a polo match. It is marked “George Wright pinoc.” to the bottom left. George Wright (British, 1860 –1942)George Wright was a British painter of coaching and hunting scenes. Considered to be one of the best sporting painters of his time and his highly accomplished action paintings were exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1892 and at many other venues in the country.
This print is in good vintage condition, it does look like someone spilled water on the back and you can see a very light stain on the bottom right. You have to look hard to even see it. The frame has a few scuffs but most vintage frames will do to the age.
This print is a order long rectangular piece that measures: 30.5” long x 20” tall x 1.5” wide.
