Antique German Vermeil order Gold Over Sterling Silver Oval Cabochon Amethyst Textured Parrot Bird Brooch Pin

This fine German-made brooch was crafted from solid .925 sterling silver with yellow gold plating during the Victorian era. The brooch has a very detailed perched parrot design with a large, approximately 9.08 carat, oval cabochon amethyst prong set at its center. The parrot has a beautiful brushed texture with layered feathers and an approximately 3.65mm cultured pearl for an eye. The brooch is secured with a vertically oriented pin on the back with a rotating lock mechanism that is in smoothly operating condition. Enjoy!
