CHILDREN'S PLATES
Now in my 46th year of making Cornish Hill Pottery, I am in the amazing position of going into a 3rd generation of Baby Plates! While usually ordered for a new baby, I have made these for bar/bat mitvahs, weddings, reunions, and graduations.

These 7” plates started out with one design... blue bunny on stoneware. Now there are four “most popular” designs:
bunny (still #1)
Puppy dog
teddy bear, and
rocking horse.

In addition I make a
lamb,
kitty,
sailboat,
flowers,
and a few other special requests.
Usually, I can fit the entire child's name and spell out the Month of the birthdate.

Each plate is hand thrown and then decorated free hand with blue clay slip.

My order pottery is a high fired stoneware. It is considered a glass, and is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Totally safe for food. I do put a wire hanger on the child plates so they can be hung up on a picture hanger on the wall. That wire is stainless wrapped in plastic so it can get wet if the plate is washed.

Each as unique as the child it is being made for.
