Product Name: Vintage Voting Box order
Vintage voting box, all original nice condition, complete with black and white marbles. Possibly from Free Masons, Elks Club or other secret society. These voting boxes would be used for a secret vote by fraternal orders and secret societies. This is where the term "Black Balled" originated, as a black ball would mean a "no" vote. Many times a potential new member would have to go through this voting system to be accepted into the order. White marbles would be a "yes" vote, but a black marble would mean "no", denying access to the order order.
