Moody 1940s Black Rayon Crepe Cocktail Dress with Black Beadwork order (L)

Today's vintage offering is this gorgeous unlabeled 1940s number. This beautiful dress is constructed from a rich black rayon crepe, embellished with jet black beads at the neckline and the waist.

The dress is unlined and features a chic layered and folded neckline embellished with beadwork, undefined shoulders with shoulder pads and short, draped sleeves, faux pocket flaps embellished with beadwork at the waist and a swishy skirt. This beauty closes with a 10-inch metal Talon zipper on the left side. order

This beautiful dress is in excellent condition and ready to stun! I only found one flaw to note: a small spot of wear to the fabric above the waist (see detail image). Otherwise, the dress appear to have hardly been worn!
