The Mystery Braid Journal
Braided Belt buckle closure
Heavy, natural textured, 1/4" thick, Black Bison leather. 24lb hand torn paper.

LEATHER:
Exquisite Black, Top Grain, Bison (Buffalo) leather. A thick yet very soft, strong yet not stiff, but pliable, leather.
**Due to the nature of the leather, this journal will be the same style, but the leather will have different markings or may be darker or lighter in color.

CLOSURE:
A Mystery Braided leather belt is attached to the book and allows secure closure of the book using an aged stainless steel belt buckle. The tightly braided belt allows you to push the buckle Prong / tongue, through various braid seams as you see fit.
*note* Belt is secured with a Celtic Concho on the back cover.

BINDING:
This is a soft bound journal, meaning the leather itself, acts as the covering, unlike hardbound or hardback books. **Note** This is not a refillable journal. The pages are stitched into the cover.

PAPER:
The pages are hand torn so each page has a deckled edge.
360 pages. (180 individual sheets)
- Acid-free, Warm White, 24lb, smooth finish
- hand stitched to the cover with, round, black leather lace.

Leather is a natural material that has a life of it's own. the oils in your hands will be absorbed into the leather and create it's own patina. It will change in unpredictable ways based on how you hold the book and fold the leather. The leather is sensitive to water and sun.
Some leathers are died various colors and can cause the first and last pages to take on some of that color. None of these aspects are bad or defects. More accurately they are unique characteristics of a natural leather product.

This item is made in a smoke free - animal free environment.
