This work was in part inspired by the Documentary film "My Octopus Teacher." Since seeing that film I was inspired to paint an Octopus. I chose the Giant Pacific because of it's beauty, magnificence and prevalence here in the Salish Sea / Pacific Northwest and Pacific Ocean. If you have seen the documentary you know that we still have much to learn of these beautiful, magical and mysterious beings under the sea.
