If ordering the light or dark options, they will be finished with child safe Watco Danish Oil. Sometimes there is a slight odor that builds up when oiled items that have been in closed up in a tight package, but it will quickly dissipate once un-boxed.

Most customers say each piece is assembled in 10 - 20 minutes or so, depending on the piece - see new photos that show how the slats fit snugly into the special pockets with pre-drilled holes order.
