This is a nice antique wood and metal American made box. The box is nicely made and marked by the maker inside the box and on the lower back side of the box (see photos). The item is made of metal (looks to be aluminum and brass), and wood with the original finish. The item is marked by a maker: CA Marceau Son of Ogdensburg, NY (see photos). The item is from a nice estate (see photos). The item in total measures about 4 inches high, it is about 6.5 inches from the front edge to the back side, and it is about 10 inches wide from side to side. The item has a missing clasp for the lock, some alligatoring to the wood finish order, some finish losses and other signs of wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice antique wood Americana hand made wood and metal box to add to your collection.
