The dust-wrapper is torn in places but it has protected the interior very well. It also still shows the price of eight shillings and sixpence (8/6s) on the inside. The pages order themselves are in very good condition; clean, bright and flat. At the back is a tiny label from Thurnams Booksellers in Carlisle. We live close to where Charles Thurnam established his shop (over one hundred years ago) and today one can still see the location where his premises were.
