Rare Reading Railway Co . Fuel / Oil/ Water Can Folk art.

Here is a very rare early 1900s Reading Railway Co lantern fuel can, these could have been used for fuel, oil, or water.

It has R Co markings on the top of the can and the can has a handle on the top and on the back side of the can.

Some time in the 1970s someone did a very nice folk art painting on the can all by hand.

There is a country scene on the front of the can along with flowers and mushrooms.

The lid of the can opens ( often these are rusted in place) and it is signed by the artist on the bottom.

The condition of the can is very good considering it's age but does have two dents and painted over surface rust that adds to it's rustic antique charm.

The can it self is a very rare teapot style, real reading railway co lantern fuel can from the very early 1900s.

Turn of the century railroad, 1970s folk art, rare one of a kind, this things got it all.
