This is the second continuation novel by John Gardner. He wrote sixteen Bond novels total. 'For Special Services' shows Bond team up with CIA agent Cedar Leiter, the order daughter of his old friend Felix Leiter. They work together to investigate Markus Bismaquer who is under suspicion of reviving SPECTRE. In the original dust wrapper designed by Bill Botten, which is reminiscent of the Richard Chopping Dustwrappers of the original Ian Fleming  novels. John Gardner's continuation novels were preceded by novels by Kingsley Amis, John Pearson and Christopher Wood. A very bright copy of this thrilling James Bond novel.
