Antique Griswold no. 18 for order 6 muffin or gem cake pan no. 6141

Solid cast iron pan with 6 tapered-sided, flat-bottomed round cups with cut-outs between rows and slightly curved handles with the number "2" debossed on the underside of one handle. Measures 9.25"W x 5.5"D x 1.75"H. Cups are approx. 1.75" diameter at the bottom and taper up to 2.5" diameter at top and are 1.75" tall. In excellent antique condition. Needs cleaning and re-seasoning if used for baking. This charming old piece would make a great addition to your decor or used as a trinket tray.

Griswold Manufacturing Company, founded by Matthew Griswold and Samuel Seldon in Erie, Pennsylvania was order an American manufacturer of cast iron kitchen products, in business from 1865 through 1957. The company was considered a pioneer in the cast iron cookware industry for its “extra finish iron hollow ware” and choice not to use prison labor for its manufacture. For many years the company had a world-wide reputation for high-quality cast-iron cookware. Today, Griswold pieces are collector's items.
