Maple order bowl colorful design

This unusual bowl was turned on the lathe in my shop. The wood is Vermont sugar maple from the local sawmill near my cabin in Vermont. The bowl has a graceful sloping surface leading to the opening, which is significantly undercut to add interesting shadows. The curved lines are burned into the surface with a pyrography pen and then a variety of colors is used to fill in some of the shapes created by the circuitous lines. Several layers of varnish protect the surface of the order wood and the acrylic paint.
The bowl is 7 inches in diameter and stands 2 inch high.
The bowl can be used for anything dry, such as wrapped candy.
A black wood display stand is included.
