order "Shadows" is an experiment in taking basic primary and secondary colors but deliberately cooling their temperatures into Prussian blue, Naples yellow, grass green and violet grey. The composition here is fit for late Fall or Winter when the sun casts longer shadows during a shortened day. The white background is almost an afterthought - dominated and shrouded by the dark blues and purples that blanket the canvas.
