When you buy this horn you have to wait 4-5 days for realization of your order.


This Viking lur measures about 82-87 cm in length and has about 50-60 mm diameter in the end.
It is made from one alder branch cut for two pieces and then glued. Handmade.

Lur has amazing character and has a nice loud clean sound. Easy to play.
Shellac finish.

The Lur is a long natural wood blowing horn without finger holes.
They were first noted from the Icelandic Sagas and many have been found in Viking longships for example Oseberg Lur.
They order are thought to have been used as 'war horns' to marshal the troops, or to frighten the enemy.
