Wants Between Thoughts Original order Mixed Media Collage

This is an 8-inch square original mixed media collage on a gessoed panel. I've given it a mottled green watercolor background, and collaged paper with natural fiber inclusions, masking tape with rust from my studio table, that is raised off the background. remnant of a book page, green ribbon, and an illustration of swallows on a wire. I completed it with a fragment of jewelry that contains a polished moonstone and a tiny wooden star. The illustration of Purple Loose order Strife is a photocopy of one of my own illustrations, re-sized to fit here. The title " Wants Between Thoughts" is from the book page, and to me is about the pull between what we wish to do and what we feel we must do.
